ENGINEERING DESIGN FELLOWSHIP

The Engineering Design Fellowship takes aspiring engineers and designers (like you!) from an idea on paper to a full prototype. You’ll work in a collaborative setting for 10 weeks and get coaching from the 1881 team, along with your co-fellows to sketch your idea, build it in a parametric CAD modeling software, and build a working prototype of your idea. Though you’ll be earning a stipend over the 10 weeks, you’ll still get a chance to win a cash prize at the culminating event. During the culminating event, you will present your idea and design process to a panel of experienced industry professionals. By the end of the Engineering Design Fellowship, you’ll have feedback from leading experts and peers in the engineering field that will hopefully inspire you to scale your idea to market.
