Vocational School

Following a denied charter school application to the Orleans Parish School Board, the organization formed a homeschool cooperative in response to parents of children in 1881’s after-school programs who were unsatisfied with their public school option. The cooperative is a free early college model that prepares teens for dual-enrollment in a technical vocation as an entryway into engineering careers. Vocational school students have earned an average of 20 college credits through dual enrollment.
