1881’s apprenticeship program is aligned with the Department of Labor’s emphasis on quality pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship opportunities. It is an earn-and-learn program that gives participants relevant spatial skills training and work experience in the fabrication of non-metals and metals, computer-aided design, and product design. Throughout this process they also earn industry certifications.
The program includes:
Occupational training that combines on-the-job work experience with related technical instruction.
Certification and industry credential attainment.
Access to support services that help participants remain in the program – this includes childcare, transportation, counseling, and career services.
